Please note that for colt purchases, a cash or check deposit is required on the day of the sale,
with the remaining balance the following spring when the colt is picked up.
The colt sale is held at our Spiderweb Camp,
located 30 miles North of Flag on Hwy 89 between mile marker 450 & 451.
The Hashknife horse breeding program was established in the late 1940s with the aim of breeding high-quality working ranch quarter horses that could efficiently work and pen cattle. Over the years, the program has grown to become a community event through our Annual Colt Sale, which was introduced in the early 1990s. During the auction, Babbitt Ranches cowboys guide foals and mares into a corral where they are sold to interested buyers.
